Mask is a small but perfectly formed specialist production company. Working with national and international clients, the team offers concept creation, direction, photography, design, editing, animation and music production in a bespoke package for ‘above the line’ visual advertising and digital content.
Mask specialise in Retail and Fashion, Leisure and Lifestyle and also have great credentials in the B2B and Education sectors.
The partners have over two decades of industry experience, having worked as freelance directors, photographers and designers, for some of the world’s leading advertising and design agencies, including Saatchi, Ogilvy, Universal Everything, Peter Saville and Attik.
The unique full production service Mask offers sets standards in what is a fast changing industry and is valued by many of the UK’s leading brands. Mask is rapidly gaining a reputation with creative directors and clients as being the most innovative, efficient, cost effective and dependable creative production the UK has to offer.
Mask was established in 2008 and is based in a creative 2000sq ft photographic, film studio and edit suite based in Redbrick Mill, Leeds.

History
Mask Creative was founded in 2008 by Johnny Carr. Johnny’s 20+ years experience as a commercial advertising photographer and his skills and network of professionals made him and his team the most dependable team of production creative’s in the North of England. Their first campaign was for Matchmakers International for Harry Hall equestrian wear, followed by TV commercials for Newcastle College, Manchester Arndale and Rowland’s Pharmacy. The following year they directed a TVC for DFDS Seaways, shot an i-dent for MTV, produced a film, shown at Wembley stadium, for Johnstone’s Paints and produced various on-line videos including a stylish film for Malmaison hotels. Today Mask are working with the likes of Barker and Stonehouse, Mamas and Papas, Vidal Sassoon and Original Source to name a few.
